Students are required to prepare an individual academic essay as follows:

Telfer and Sharpley (2016) argue that there are many challenges to recognise and overcome when growing tourism within host nations that are classified as “developing economies”. 

With reference to academic literature, provide an in-depth critical assessment of two (2) such challenges and critically discuss ways in which these challenges may be addressed.   The individual essay should focus on the chosen two challenges rather than a specific country, although named developing countries should be used in examples to support the discussion. 

The student is required to select the challenges from the lecture themes. As such, select ANY TWO of the following:
